Brattleboro- Sharon Lee "Shari" Young, 52 of Brookside Drive died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, January 20, 2017 at her home.

Shari was born in Wayne County, Michigan on July 11, 1964 the daughter of William and Charlotte (Whipple) Call. She attended Brattleboro schools including Brattleboro Union High School.

She had been employed as a caregiver for Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services (HCRS) working out of the Brattleboro office. Shari started her career with HCRS in October of 2000. Previously she had worked at several nursing homes located in the Berkshires.

Prior to moving to Brattleboro she was a former resident of Vernon and Guilford.

Shari was known for her spirit of friendship as well as her kindness and she enjoyed time shared with her family and friends but mostly with her beloved daughter Joy who she cared for.

Survivors include her daughter Joy Young of Brattleboro, her mother also of Brattleboro, one sister, Laura Call and her husband William Shafer of Keene, a brother, Gregory Call and his wife Janet of Burgettstown, PA, two special nephews, David and Jonathan Call and many other nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father.

A memorial service in celebration of her life will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Green Mountain Chapel of the Christian & Missionary Alliance on Western Avenue with Pastor Bill Steele officiating.
